Let’s talk about food and weight loss, for instance, so I can explain. (Now substitute YOUR “problem” in place of food and weight loss if those are not your immediate concerns.)

Because it is NEVER about the food. And you can certainly lose the weight quickly with the next “hot diet”. And then the weight will slowly creep back on and you will still be left feeling as crappy as you felt when you started that diet.

So I repeat. It is NEVER about the food. It is only always about your thought about the food, your thought about your weight, your thought about your body, and your feeling of no or little self-worth.

This is what I teach as a Certified Life Coach. I have been guiding my clients to become the best versions of themselves while they lose weight, have a better relationship with themselves first (and then others), and appreciate their life right where they are.

I LOVE food. I LOVE eating. I LOVE eating out. I LOVE when someone cooks for me. And I LOVE cooking for others.

Food is a wonderful pleasure we have in our lives.

When we enjoy our food, we give ourselves a delightful experience.

BUT when we make food our enemy, we are truly denying ourselves of that good experience.

THE ENEMY HERE IS YOUR CHOICE to OVEREAT any food. There’s no bad food.

Just your bad choice on continuing to eat when you’re not hungry.

OVEREATING, eating out of boredom, and eating when we’re not hungry leads to WEIGHT GAIN. Plain and simple.

So just stop doing all of that and you will lose weight. That is it. Right?

But it’s hard to stop overeating. I have these urges for something and I just can’t control myself!!!

It takes thought work, my beautiful friends. It takes becoming aware of what thoughts you have and what emotions those thoughts provide for you. It takes knowing you are always in control. It takes you becoming the manager of your thoughts and driving them to reach your goal.
